Oh man I looooove What we do in the shadows, so this was a treat! I actually attempted Dracula early into the pandemic with Dracula Daily but didn't keep up (and it's started up again in recent months). Now I'm thinking I might just have to give it another go, maybe closer to Halloween.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Dracula would definitely be a great read for Halloween. And I checked out Dracula Daily, what a cool concept! But if you don't have time each day, reading the book in October might be a better fit

This was a fascinating read. Like many books I enjoyed in my teens over 60 years ago it would be worth revisiting. Would not be stepping into the same river.

For vampire tales Let the Right One has been done justice in both movie versions, Swedish and American, as well as the 2020 TV series.

The author did the screenplay for the Swedish version of his excellent book. The English remake, Let Me In, is a rare example of remake that works and even includes some the original ideas from the book not covered in the Swedish. We’re talking “kid” vampire here. The tv series expands on the dramas of growing up vampire. Swedish movie is must see

Ahh very interesting; it's rare for remakes to be good! Glad to hear that the author was involved in the Swedish screenplay as well.
