Crossroads Roundup: New Patron-Only Content, Dalí Prints Found in a Garage, and Neolithic Engineering
Our favorite stories on art, archaeology, folklore, and more from this past week.
Welcome to the Crossroads Roundup! This is our weekly roundup of news related to history, art, archaeology, and anything else that our readers might enjoy. While many of our essays are free, the Crossroads Roundup is for paid subscribers only. A new direction for patron-only content…
The Gazette will be rolling out its new patron essays starting next week. Here is a reminder of what that will include, in case you missed my previous emails:
Instead of the monthly Patron Podcast, patrons will be receiving a weekly, exclusive essay centered around a monthly theme.
Since last month’s Patron Podcast left off on the early years of Marie Antoinette’s life, September’s essays will explore the queen’s later years, her political role during the French Revolution, as well as forays into the fashion and architecture of Versailles.
The Crossroads Roundup will become a monthly essay open to all subscribers, so if you enjoy these news roundups, you will still receive one in your inbox every few weeks.
Previous editions of the Crossroads Roundup (including this one) will remain behind the paywall, as will all patron-only content.
The full archive (essays older than six months) will also remain exclusive to patrons.
And now, onto the news:
